The CNSF continues to expand its reach overseas by helping alumnus Vanessa Martinez to attend a prestigious conference on science and soccer in England this past May.

"Thank you very much for your support to attend the 1st World Conference on Science and Soccer in Liverpool. The conference was excellent. I got great new information and had the chance to meet some of the world’s best sports scientists specializing in soccer (for example Dr. Jens Bangsbo from Copenhagen, Denmark). I also got to meet and interact with Hope Powell (current Head Coach of the England Women’s Soccer National Team and a very important female coach role model for me) along with her staff (assistant coach, team physician, exercise physiologist, match analyst, and physiotherapist). Once more I thank you very much for making my trip to England possible.
