Thank you again for the opportunity to participate in the "C" course and also the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma course. I learned a great deal of information concerning methodology and tactics. My instructors for the "C" course were Mike Dickey and David Rubinson. After the 9 days I felt that I had gained so much information in such a short period of time. I enjoyed both the field and lecture sessions prepared by the staff and also I had the opportunity to listen to Bob Jenkins during his U18 match analysis lecture.
As for the NSCAA course it was good to learn about how to train the "blocks" within the team. The director for the course was Jim Lennox and he was awesome! The week at Amherst College ran the same format as the "C" accept more emphasis was placed on advanced methodology like phase play, shadow training, and functional training. Overall I felt the course challenged me and at the same time I learned new information from some of the best instructors in the country.
The B Course and all of my camps are completed and I have a few days before pre-season starts at the university.
I feel really, really confident that I passed the course but I just have to wait 6-8 weeks to find out. I had the time of my life though. I learned so much and met so many incredible people. I came home with more business cards and potential job offers than I know
what to do with!
The highlight for me though, is that I got to meet Tab Ramos. I keep telling everyone about it! He used to be one of my favorite players
when I was younger and then I get to meet him and talk to him at the coaching course.
My girls camp last week ended up having 43 players. Way more than I expected, but all the more better. And I really feel that all the
girls walked out having learned something to help make them a better player.
None of this- the job opportunities and Tab!- would have happened if not for you all. The foundation definitely has a special place in my heart and I will never be able to thank you all enough. I know I say it in every email, but I really mean it. THANK YOU!
All my best,
