CNSF Alumni Samatha Bird has been busy putting her coaching background to work. After making the opening remarks at the NSCAA’s Walt Chyzowych Memorial Award Ceremony in January she has now taken a position as an assistant coach at Oxford College which will keep her very busy throughout the summer and fall.
To kick off this period Sam will be taking the top coaching course in the country, US Soccer’s ’A’ License in Lake Forest Illinois this June. "This is a demanding course requiring a good understanding of the game, a strong personality and being physically and mentally prepared. Sam will do very well on the course, she has all of these qualities and is keen to learn" remarked Larry Paul, CNSF Program Director.
